How Bail Bond Financing Works
When a judge sets bond, you don't pay the court the full amount. A licensed bondsman posts the bond for you, and you pay the bondsman a fee called the premium: a small percentage of the bond amount.
Most families don't have even that much sitting in the bank at 2 AM. That's what our payment plans are for. For well qualified individuals, you pay a down payment to get the bond posted, and the rest of the premium is split into scheduled payments that you agree to before you sign anything.
For well qualified individuals
Payment plans are available only to well qualified defendants and co-signers. Terms and eligibility are determined upon interview. If a plan isn't available, we'll tell you up front and go over your other options.
Three Steps to a Payment Plan
Example Estimates
Say the court sets bond at $10,000. The premium would be $1,200 ($1,250 in Jefferson Parish). If you qualify for a payment plan, you put down part of it to get the bond posted and pay the balance on a schedule.
